General: What is and to come.

Hey!

So as ThirtyNinthSt continues to grow and become more a part of my life I feel that I should shed more light onto what I am doing and what I plan on doing in the near future (and also due in part to many people saying “what exactly is it that you do?”)

From the beginning it was never something I wanted to be boot-strapped to. I had a lot of things I wanted to accomplish artistically, but I felt it needed a name rather than the typical idea of putting my name first.

It is a machine of representation, a catalyst of appreciation for the area that it serves. It is a small library of documented lives and people.

One thing ThirtyNinthSt has never been about is me, it has always been about everyone else.

If it was, then I would have called it Trevor Dunt photography and slapped my face on it and sold it that way.

But I didn’t. I gave it a name and an open-ended mission. This way I would not be held down by legalistics and able to pursue artistic projects of any sort under the name ThirtyNinthSt

And with that said, starting next year I will be releasing a quarterly online showcase covering a number of local people and artists I believe everyone should know about.

What started out as an idea for a ThirtyNinthSt magazine grew into something less of a magazine type project and more of a way to show off people that fit the mold of makers.

So look forward to early 2010.

Trust me.

Prove your self.
